The Rolex Monterey Historic Automobile Races are the largest event held during the renowned classic car weekend in Monterey California. More than 40,000 visitors worldwide annually attend the Historic Races.

The Rolex Monterey Historic Automobile Races are a tribute of motor racing history, historic automobiles and the people who made them
. Each year, more than 375 of the finest historic race and sports cars are entered in 14 race groups that span nearly every era of motorsports history.

This year's marque highlighted Indy Roadsters, bringing to life the original open-wheelers and bringing the spirit of Indy back to the Central California Coast.

Several Huffaker Engineering client cars competed in this prestigious event. Scott Brown finished fourth and Shawn DeLuna finished 10th, both in MGAs. Terry Grimm finished 16th in his BMC Formula Jr.  Lou Pavesi finished 11th in his 1954 Huffaker Healey Special.   (Photo of Pavesi on right, by Tony Ferrari.)     Dave Lipsky, in his 1964 Sunbeam Tiger (photo top left), competed in 1963 - 1966 Production Sports Cars over 2500cc.  Click on photos to enlarge.
